Our team manager seems like Max, the boy in the film "Real Steel" who is full of optimism on boxer robot Atom.

We hope our team manager steps up to fill the shoes of PJL like Charlie, former boxer and father of Max who provided the experience and skills to boxer robot Atom.

Thus, our team manager has to have Max and Charlie in him to achieve the dream of World Slasher Cup champion.

Atom will be us, PJL Bittergame strain of gamecocks.

Charlie and Max will be our team manager.

World Robot Boxing (WRB) will be the World Slasher Cup (WSC).

Real Steel is a 2011 American science fiction sports drama film.
 
In 2020, human boxers have been replaced by robot boxers. Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) is a former boxer who owns such a robot, Ambush, competing in unsanctioned matches and in exhibitions with it. At a rural fair, Ambush is destroyed by Black Thunder, a bull belonging to promoter Ricky (Kevin Durand). Having made a bet that Ambush would win, Charlie now owes Ricky $20,000, which he doesn't pay before leaving.

Charlie is informed his ex-wife has died, and that he must attend a hearing to decide the fate of his preteen son Max (Dakota Goyo). Max's wealthy aunt Debra (Hope Davis) and uncle Marvin (James Rebhorn) want full custody, which Charlie gives them in exchange for $100,000, half in advance, on the condition that Charlie take care of Max for three months while the couple are away on a second anniversary.

Charlie and Max meet with Charlie's childhood friend Bailey Tallet (Evangeline Lilly), who runs the boxing gym of her deceased father, Charlie's old coach. There, Charlie buys a secondhand World Robot Boxing league (WRB) robot, the once-famous Noisy Boy, and arranges for it to fight the illegal circuit's champion, Midas, at a venue belonging to his friend Finn. Partly due to both his inexperience with Noisy Boy's combinations and his own overconfidence, Charlie ends up losing control of Noisy Boy and Midas destroys it.

Charlie breaks into a junkyard with Max to steal scraps that he can use to put a new robot together. There, Max falls over a ledge, where he is saved from doom by getting snagged on the arm of a buried robot. After Charlie pulls Max back up, Max digs out the entire robot, called Atom. On Max's insistence, Charlie takes it back to Bailey's gym, where they discover Atom is an obsolete Generation-2 sparring bot built in 2014. Atom has been designed to sustain massive damage, but is unable to deal much damage itself. Atom also has a "shadow function" which allows for following human movement. Partly due to both Max's insistence and Charlie needing money, the duo has Atom fight an unsanctioned outdoor match against a robot called Metro. Atom wins, earning back some of Charlie's money.

Max later upgrades Atom to take vocal commands, using parts from Charlie's demolished robots, and convinces Charlie to train Atom. Atom's string of subsequent wins attracts the attention of a promoter from the WRB, who offers Atom a professional fight against the robot Twin Cities. Charlie accepts, and Atom wins again, thanks to Charlie's boxing experience allowing him to locate and take advantage of a small tell in Twin Cities' punch. Reveling in their subsequent novelty attention, Max challenges WRB champion Zeus, designed by genius Tak Mashido (Karl Yune) and sponsored by wealthy Farra Lemkova (Olga Fonda), who before the match tries to buy the upstart Atom.

As Max and Charlie leave after the Twin Cities fight, Ricky and his men attack them, and steal their winnings. Feeling guilty, Charlie returns Max to his aunt and uncle, feeling Max will be safer with them and refusing the second half of the money he was promised. Bailey convinces him that he can be a better father. Debra allows Charlie to take Max out for one last night, to the Zeus-Atom match. Zeus severely damages Atom while also getting injured for the first time. Ricky, who had bet Finn $100,000 that Atom would not last the first round, tries to slip away, but is cornered by Finn and his colleagues. In the fourth round of the five-round match, Atom's vocal receptors are damaged, and Atom must fight the last round in shadow mode, copying Charlie's moves from the aisle. Zeus, now controlled manually by a furious Mashido, expends energy on trashing the defensive Atom, running low on power and turning sluggish as a result. The fight swings in Atom's favor as he overwhelms the weakened Zeus, even knocking the seemingly invincible champion down once, but Atom is unable to win before the round ends. The judges declare Zeus the winner on points, but the near-defeat leaves the Zeus team humiliated. Atom is labeled the "People's Champion" as Charlie and Max celebrate their success and their love.

Our team manager bought online two baseball caps at University of South Carolina Gamecocks official website. 

He was planning to go to Sunset, Louisiana, United States for the Sunset Recreation Club's 2006 Grit and Steel Breeders Cup. And hoping that he will have an autographed gift for his father, PJL, when he returned from the event.

Grit and Steel Breeders Cup is the most prestigious and biggest cockfighting event in the world as far as our team manager is concern. Every month of March, the best 12-cock derby in the world is held. A three day event with 4-cock each day and the weapon categories are short knife and long heels (gaff).

Grit & Steel Breeders Cup In March

March is the month for one of the prestigious cockfighting sports event in the whole wide world, the Grit & Steel Breeders Cup held at Sunset Recreation Club. These 3 day tourney in short knife (1 1/4 inches instead of mexican short knife length of 1 inch) and long heels/gaff weapons is composed of 4-cock derby each day for a total of 12-cock derby. Fights usually start at 10-11am and end in the wee hours of the morning. The main and four drag pits are always full of action from cocks and great pitters of our time, not to mention the honest referees in their black and white referee shirt. (read more)

University of South Carolina Gamecocks

The University of South Carolina's 19 varsity sports teams are known as the "Gamecocks". The unique moniker is held in honor of Thomas Sumter, a South Carolina war hero who was given the name "The Carolina Gamecock" during the American Revolution for his fierce fighting tactics, regardless of his physical stature or the size of his regiment. A British General commented that Sumter "fought like a gamecock." While the men have traditionally been the Fighting Gamecocks and the women were previously the Lady Gamecocks, this distinction was discontinued in part to help eliminate gender bias in their athletic department, and to discount the oft-held misconception that their mascot is meant to honor/promote animal bloodsport in any way.

The sports deal did not involved stocks nor liquid funds. PJL Bittergame Sports Team aims to produce a blend between Bicol Hi-Speed Black Henny strain and PJL Bittergame strain.

Last 20 February 2012, the Black Henny father has all the right fighting style that our team manager wanted to improve upon.

Today, 22 September 2012, the Black Henny son proved he got the goods when he fought against his father for the first time in a spar.

Many thanks to Bicol Hi-Speed Gamefarm sports team owners (Alex Clores, Engr. Warren Azotea, and Atty. Jose Guevara) for this Black Henny strain.

The plan was to fight us January or February 2013. We are to be pre-conditioned during molting season. For us to have better environment and tall roosting pole to strengthen our bodies than what our team manager and our facilities can provide. In seven months or so with our team manager's friend, we should be better fighter and well conditioned. Our team manager's friend suppose to match us in hackfight fairly if not at an advantage. For every mortality, both shanks have to be saved and returned to our team manager who have to reconcile with our photo files. The plan was made last week of June 2012. 

But the plan was not followed. We were fought during the molting season.

2012-08-19: PJL Bittergame player won

• No fight video taken, so that our team manager know how we performed and be more knowledgeable on improving our strain.
  
• Report mentioned that he won from behind. He only suffered an injury on top of his left knee which crippled him a little. But still was able to kill his opponent with his infighting.
• Farm taken/Post-battle photo of the left knee showed no signs of the injury nor any cut feathers around the knee as if the photo is of a rooster fresh before fight. After more than 2 weeks after battle, he was returned with very noticeable injury with cut feathers around the injury. Thus, Our team manager do not know really from these details if he was really fought as reported.

2012-09-02: PJL Bittergame player lost

• No fight video taken, so that our team manager know how we performed and be more knowledgeable on improving our strain.
  
• A few days before he was fought, our team manager commented that if he was to be fought in that condition, we should bet on his opponent.
• Report mentioned that he was ahead when he lost. From this performance our team manager need to select more non-stop hitting with a bit of evasiveness.
• No shanks returned. Thus, our team manager do not know really if he is still living or was fought as reported.

2012-09-03: PJL Bittergame player lost

• Witnessed by our team manager, who thought our player is conditioned frail & very light and was fighting big tall strong foe.
• From this fight, our team manager confirms we, PJL Bittergame strain of gamecocks, have gameness til the end and aggressively pressing on even after many deep cuts and major injuries for about 2 minutes before dying suddenly from a deadly blow.
  
• Although, our team manager's friend comment was "[losing is] in the bloodline".

3-4 pm September 2, 2012

First buckle or first contact, PJL Bittergame player suffered major cut on top the the left knee while only managing to hit the shank of Scientific Warrior player. 

With knife shank disabled, the PJL Bittergame could not inflict anymore damage with any of its efforts.

And the Scientific Warrior rooster did not waste time to finish a downed foe with good shuffling to the body resulting to a major hit on the right side, breaking into two both the femur bone and tibia bone, and damaging the internal organs of the PJL Bittergame rooster.

That is the end of the hackfight battle.

In retrospect, our team manager is proud of our player in the cockpit today and in all of the spar memories. 

• Our fallen player crippled a few of our other players during spars along the years. 
• And his (spurless) mother also broke into two the tibia bone of one of our hens in a quick spar.

We, PJL Bittergame strain of gamecocks, lost again. Our team manager continues to suck.
